THE BLINDING DARKNESS: Andhantamah
DSM Satyarthi
When we study Ved, in original; we find two Ved Mantrs that tell us what is the most dangerous for us human beings.
‘US HUMAN BEINGS’, NOT,’US HINDUS’.
Ved does not address, its followers as Hindus, or Ary’s, ever.
It’s not communal at all, neither it calls us human beings/Hindus to be communal, ever.
These two Ved Mantr are:
‘Andhantamah pravishanti ye’sambhootimupaasate,
Tato bhooy’ iv te tamo
y’u sambhootyaagvong rataah.’
‘To blinding darkness go those, who make a cult of what does not exist, properly.
The devotees of the so called proper existence, enter darkness that is darker still.’
‘Andhantamah pravishanti ye’vidyamupasate,
Tato bhooy’iv te tamo y’u viyayagvong rataah.’
‘To blinding darkness go those who make a cult of Nescience.
The devotees of the so called science, enter darkness that is darker still.’
In these both the Ved Mantrs, the BLINDING DARKNESS,’ANDHANTAMAH’, has been described as more sinister than the Non existence and Nescience, too.
Ved claims to lead us away from this BLINDING DARKNESS, right from its first Sookt, ‘Agni Sookt.‘
It opens with the words:
‘Agnimeede’
‘(Vow:) I laud Agni.’
‘Agni’ means: the ONE WHO LEADS TO LIGHT.
The question is, why the ‘ANDHANTAMAH‘, why the BLINDING DARKNESS, is described here, as far more sinister than even non existence, and nescience.
The answer is, because it leads to nescience, and therefore, to NON EXISTENCE; gradually, ultimately.
Hence, if we want to EXIST, we have to protect ourselves from nescience.
If we want to protect ourselves from NESCIENCE, we have to protect ourselves from ‘ANDHANTAMAH‘, the BLINDING DARKNESS.
And, if we want to protect ourselves from ‘ANDHANTAMAH‘, the BLINDING DARKNESS, we have to understand and follow Ved.
