‘No thief rule on you, no evil praiser’:
‘Maa v’ sten eishat, maa aghshagvongso‘: Ved:
DSM Satyarthi
The second volume of Ved opens with, again an introductory Mantr to the entire volume, as the first volume of Ved, R’g Ved opened.
R’g Ved opens with:
‘Agnimeede Purohitam Yagyasy’ devamr’tvijam hotaram ratndhaatamam’.
(Vow
I laud Agni, the first existent, the god of sacrifice, the winner of seasons, the hota, the lavishest of wealth.
An extensive commentary on the Mantr, from the writer of these lines, is now available on Internet:
http://dsms.wordpress.com/2008/01/04/ved-ved-…
This Mantr was an introductory Mantr, too, to the whole volume R’g Ved.
It promises to lead to light,
and that’s what in entire R’g Ved.
R’g Ved is a book of definitions.
R’k stutau.
Stuti means praise and definition both.
Actually, when we define something, we praise it in other words.
Yajurved opens:
‘Om ishe tvorjje tvaa vaayav sth’ devo vah savitaa praarpayatu shreshthtamaay’ karman’aapyaayadhvamaghnyaa’in draay’ bhaagam prajaavateeranameevaa’ayaxmaa maa v’ sten eishat maaghshagvagvonso dhruvaa’asmin gopatau syaat bahveeryajmaanasy’ pashoonpaahi.’
‘Om! for food/the energy of desire, thee. For energy, thee. Breezes are ye. Divine Creator impel, you all, to noblest work. Complete properly, Inviolable female! share for the controller of organs.Rich in offspring/subject. Free from sickness. Free from diminishing. No thief rule on you, no evil-praiser. Be constant in this master of ‘go’, numerous females! Guard the cattle of the worshiper.’
-Ved: 2 Yajurved: 1/1
It is clear from this Mantr, thus, that Yajurved does not deal with definitions, as R’g Ved did.
It deals with family and politics.
Family:
‘Complete properly, Inviolable female! share for the controller of organs.Rich in offspring/subject. Free from sickness. Free from diminishing.’
‘aapyaayadhvamaghnyaa’indraay’ bhaagam prajaavateeranameevaa’ayaxmaa. ‘
Politics:
‘No thief rule on you, no evil-praiser.’
”maa v’ sten eishat maaghshagvaongso.’
Throughout Yajurved, we find these two subjects, mainly, dealt with.
So, from Yajurved, the applications of the definitions, given profoundly in R’g Ved, starts.
‘No thief rule on you, no evil-praiser.’
‘maa v’ sten eishat maaghshagvaongso.’
This instruction was necessary, as Ved preaches DEMOCRACY:
‘Samaano mantrah samitih sammanee.’
‘Common principles, common assembly.’
-Ved: 1 R’g Ved: 10/191/3
In democracy, thus, it is necessary that every one must be aware of what’s happening in politics.
Because, in democracy, the President/Prime Minister/Ministers/Members of Parliament are not the master owners of the country.
They are only their REPRESENTATIVES.
The ownership lies with the Citizens of the country/Eishan Param Brahm Paramatma in Hinduism.
How the administration can be proper if the master owners, themselves, are not aware of what’s happening in politics day by day, minute per minute?
That’s why the media has more rights in democracy than the rest of the others.
That’s why the right of the information.
That’s why Eishan Param Brahm Paramatama says:
‘Aham bhoomimadadaamaaryaay’.
‘I’ve given land to the better.’
–Ved: 1 R’g Ved: 4/26/2
You can’t be unconscious to it.
Don’t vote ever for a thief.
Don’t vote ever for the persons who praise evil.
They’ll work against democracy, and will destroy it eventually.
