  1. R’shi: Brahmā

Dévtā/Divine Subject: Brahmchārī, a

Practitioner of Ved.

Chhand/Vedic Meter: Anushŧup

Vedmūrti Taponishŧh Late Pandit Shrī Rām Sharmā Āchārý has written introducing the Mantr Dévtā of this Sūkt:

‘The Vedic dhātu/Verb ‘Char’ is used in walking, practicing something and/or enjoying that, not repenting on after. In this way, the vast meaning of ‘Brahmchārī’ is a person living under the discipline of God/Supreme/Absolute Consciousness.’

─ Atharv Ved Samhitā with easy Hindi essence

It’s more than explicit therefore that according to Vedmūrti Taponishŧh Late Pandit Shrī Rām Sharmā Āchārý a ‘Brahmchārī’ means a person practicing Ved/the discipline of God/Supreme/Absolute Consciousness sternly, never repentant on it.
