1.Sāmved is the third volume of Ved.
It is divided into three Ārchiks: Poorvārchik or Chhand Ārchik, Mahānāmnyārchik and Uttarārchik.
‘It ranks next in sanctity and liturgical importance to the Rigveda.’
I don’t think so.
Yajurved deals with family and politics essentially.
Sāmved deals with fine arts.
I do agree that fine arts make life worth living.
Nevertheless, family and politics are more necessary for life than fine arts.
So, in my opinion, Sāmved is correctly placed in the third place, after Yajurved.
I am sorry to differ with the western outlook in this regard altogether.
1st Mantr: R’shi Bharadvaj, Devta Agni, Chhand Gayatri, Svar Shadj.
2. O who leads to light,
3. ‘ā yāhi vītaýé’
Beauty is made for you, and so are the entire beautiful things.
Never forget that the wicked ones, ‘dushkr’ts‘, are always after beauty, even to the extent that they kidnap and rape them.
What do you think, you are a good man, even if you don’t protect the innocent beauties from these wicked ones?
4. Sanyas/renunciation is not the goal of Hinduism.
5. You are not a worshiper, ‘Gran’aanah’ if you run away from these duties allotted to you.
If you leave the beauties to be kidnapped and raped by the wicked ones and meditate/worship Us, how it can be called Our worship?
If you are really a good man/Sukr’t your first duty is, naturally, to stop kidnapping and rapes of the innocent beauties, none else. You can’t expect Us to accept your Stavans, Aaypanchmaanshes, Mandrs, Parvs, Teerthgamans, Teerthvaases, etc. neglecting these inhuman kidnappings and rapes.
These all things are for ‘Kr’n’vanto Vishvamaaryam’.
If there are kidnappings and rapes of the innocent beauties continued, and you are doing these practices being immune to these kidnappings and rapes, how is it ‘Kr’n’vanto Vishvamaaryam’?
How can you make/build a society of Sukr’ts if you are immune to these wicked happenings?
