Dvā suparñā sayujā sakhāyā

samānam vr’xam parishasvajāté.

tayoranyah pippalam svādvattyanashnannanyo,

¹Two fair guardians/birds² with fair wings, never

separate, live together ever; on the same tree

embracing knit each other.

Out of the two, one eats the sweet fruit of the

tree, the Other, eating not, supervises optimum.
