¹Abide ye both only here. Don’t be separated². Enjoy whole life³ sporting with sons grandsons⁴, rejoicing in the beautiful home.

1. R’shikā: Sooryā Sāvitrī

Devtā: Sv’-vivāhah, Self marriage

2. It’s harmful to everyone.

Generally, it’s said and preached by Western Culture, if it’s a culture at all, that no woman should sacrifice even her emotions, to her marriage.

The marriage is not important enough even to sacrifice one’s emotions, if it’s needed to keep it.

In West, we find it’s ridiculous if we study the reasons behind divorces.

There are some cases where the women resorted to divorce because their husbands only snore, and she was unable to sleep due to it.

The great-women (?) were not even careful enough to learn about the weaknesses of their future husbands before marrying them.

The Mantr in question warns the men and women both not to take marriage so lightly, so at random.

Ridiculous!

Isn’t it?

The persons, who claim they are wisdom personified, and their blind followers are adamant to claim they are so, do not even think and investigate before marrying.

They curse marriage institution.

However, the damnfools themselves are responsible for what they are suffering from, not the marriage institution.

They need Gāyatrī Mantr very much to follow.

They must marry each other only after thorough investigations of each other.

They must understand that after marriage they can’t behave so irresponsibly with each other.

They must take all the precautions, whatsoever they can, so that they can’t be separated, after marriage, on such a trivia.

Emotions are important, but not more important than keeping your responsibilities and duties.

If one’s emotions are accepted to be more important than his/her responsibilities and duties, nobody can be made to keep his/her promise, responsibilities and duties.

It’s obvious in this case, that such a society would go astray.

The Western Society, therefore, is a fine example of such a society going astray day-by-day.

3. ‘vishvamāyurvyashnutam’.

Many of the persons who marry can’t enjoy either their life, or their entire life.

This Ved Mantr tells them how they can achieve it.

So many problems can be easily avoided if the persons related act more wisely.

Vivāh Kānd provides them the guidance how one can do it.

4. Nowadays, it’s difficult even to live as a conjugal family intact.

Hinduism/Ved is proposing here a happy United/Joint Family.
