Llā yamassuhu illā almutahharūn

Al Qur’an Al Karīm states:

Fala’ uqsimu bimavāqi-innujūmi.’
‘No! I swear by the positions of the stars –’
V’ innahu laqasamul-lau tålmūn azīmun.’
‘and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew –’
Innahu laqur’anun karīmun,
‘That this indeed is a noble Qur’an,
Fe KITĀBIM- MAKNŪNIN.’
‘Inscribed in a well-guarded Book.’
Llā yamassuhu illal-mutahharūn
‘Which none but the pure may touch.’
Tanzīlum minrrabil åālmīn.’
‘A revelation from the Lord of the Universe.’

̶—Al Qur’an Al Kareem: 56 Al Waqi’ah: 75-80

The questions are:

1.       What does ‘Almutahharūn’ ‘the pure ones’ mean here?

2.       What does the ‘yamassuhu’ ‘touch’ mean here?

If we accept the current interpretations of these two

words of Al Qur’an Al Kareem, anyone that touch Al Qur’an Al Kareem is one of the Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’.

Is it right?

I don’t think so.

The terrorists do also touch Al Qur’an Al Kareem and they also even read it.

What does it mean?

The terrorists are Almutahharūn? ‘the pure ones’?

Nonsense!

If Al Qur’an Al Kareem is really:

Va mā kān hāzalqur’anu anyuftarā min dūnillāhi va lākin tasdīqallazī bayn yadéhi va tafsīlAlKitābi lā raib fīhi min rabbil åālmīn.’

‘And it was not for this Qur’an to be produced by other than Allah , but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of The Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.’

It can’t even be imagined the terrorists maybe Almutahharūn.

But it can’t be denied that they touch and read Al Qur’an Al Kareem.

Then what is the real meaning of this āyat-e-karīmah?

Certainly, it must have a deep meaning, far more rational, than it is ostensible.

What it can be?

I think the ‘yamassuhu’ ‘touch’ means the real deep meaning of Al Qur’an Al Kareem the ostensible meanings  contain behind them.

Though anyone can touch Al Qur’an Al Kareem physically, only the Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’, can touch its real depth that’s the base of all physical and hereafter infinite progress.

The persons who are not Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’, can’t even touch this depth.

They can touch Al Qur’an Al Kareem only physically.

To get the true benefits from Al Qur’an Al Kareem, consequently, it is necessary for a person to be one of Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’.

The terrorists can’t get them even if they touch and read Al Qur’an Al Kareem physically.

Until and unless they don’t purify their own heart, environment, mind, actions, brain, everything; they can’t get the real benefits Al Qur’an Al Kareem offers to the Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’.

The Rabbul åālmīn hasn’t descended His Scripture so that the impure ones can be benefitted and the pure ones may be harmed.

So, the Almighty has put a lock, qafl on the qalb, on the real treasure He has bestowed on humankind.

Purify yourself and get everything from Us We have for you.

If you don’t purify yourself, you can touch Al Qur’an Al Kareem physically only.

It has an infinite treasure of our bounties for you if only you purify yourself.

The more you purify yourself, the more you can understand the real meaning of Al Qur’an Al Kareem, and get benefited both in this physical world and the life hereafter.

Llā yamassuhu illal-mutahharūn
which none but the pure may touch.’

Moreover, it is to be noticed specifically that ‘Llā yamassuhu illal-mutahharūn’ is said after Sūratar-Raħmān 55 in ‘Sūratal- Wāqiah’ 56th.

Let’s scrutinize why it was necessary.

Llā yamassuhu illal-mutahharūn

‘None can touch except the Purified Ones’.

is not said before ‘Fabiayyi ālai Rabbikumā tukazzibāni’.

But ‘Sūratar-Raħmān’ 55 had a persistent repetition, a persistent recurrence of ‘Fabiayyi ālai Rabbikumā tukazzibāni’.

Then which of the bounties of your Lord will ye deny?’

Naturally, the bounties of our Lord were highlighted thus in 55th Sūrat of Al Qur’an Al Kareem, ‘Sūratar-Raħmān’.

It couldn’t generate some false anticipations in the hearts and minds of the persons reading Al Qur’an Al KareemSūratar-Raħmān’55 for the bounties of our Lord, must have been clarified.

That’s what consequently exactly has been done immediately in 56th Sūrat ‘Sūratal- Wāqiah’:

Llā yamassuhu illal-mutahharūn

None can touch except the Purified Ones’.

You can get Our bounties We referred to in ‘Sūratar-Raħmān’55, if only you are ‘Al-mutahharūn’ ‘the Purified Ones’, none less.

This interpretation of this āyat-e-karīmah stands to reason and does not conflict with the other āyāt-e-karīmāt at all.

It enhances the importance of being Almutahharūn, ‘the pure ones’.

Al Qur’an Al Kareem claims:

Ved, the everfirst Book from the Almighty to the human beings similarly states:

Dadhushŧvā bhr’gavo mānushéshvā rayim n’ chārum Suhavam janébhyah,

hotāramagné atithim varéñyam mitram n’ shévam divyāý janmané.

The pure ones established you, the beautifully called one; for people, properly, in human beings, like beautiful wealth,

Hota, Agni, guest, worthy to be chosen, like affectionate friend, for Divý Janm, Divine Birth.’

I think Al Qur’an Al Kareem means the same thing here by Almutahharūn, ‘the pure oneswhat the Ved means by ‘Bhr’gavah’, The pure ones’.

Bhr’gu’ does not mean pure one by birth.

Instead, it means a person who has consecrated, purified, his soul and body both practicing stern, faithful, and resolute obedience to Eishān Param Brahm Paramātmā

‘Bhrasj’ pāké Tudādigañasý dhātoh ‘Prathimradibhrasjām samprasārañam s’lopashch’ Uñādi Sūtr 1|28 sūtréñ kah samprasārañam s’lopashch’.

Thus, Al Qur’an Al Kareem is:

tasdīqallazī bayn yadéhi va tafsīlAlKitābi lā raib fīhi min rabbil åālmīn.’

‘A confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of The Scripture, about which there is no doubt, from the Lord of the worlds.’
